The Divas Simply Singing Gift Bag Has Become the Star Attraction!
LOS ANGELES (October 13, 2009) – Each year, well known artist donate their time and talent to assist veteran actress/AIDS activist Sheryl Lee Ralph in raising funds to help to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS as well as to assist those living with the disease. The 19th Annual DIVAS Simply Singing event was held on October 10, 2009 at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, CA and is the longest running musical fundraiser in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
This year performers enjoyed more than just the excitement of the event. They were treated to an entire Diva week of goodies including an elegant pre-party held at the luxurious Jaxon-Allyn Lifestyle Boutique, located at 1222 N. Labrea Ave., in West Hollywood, a night of beauty sponsored by, world renowned “King of Eyebrows” Damone Roberts of Beverly Hills. The "Divas" also enjoyed a fabulous rehearsal session/reception and DIVA gifting lounge held in a private Villa at the elite Sunset Marque Hotel in West Hollywood. Each gift bag was created with that particular DIVA in mind; therefore, no two bags were identical.
“The ladies were over the moon about the gift bags! They just couldn’t believe that we would do this for them, but, I want them to know how much I appreciate their sacrifice, year after year”, says Sheryl Lee Ralph.
Items in the gift bag included: two pairs of shoes each from Sheikh Shoes located in the Beverly Center and Fox Hills Malls, evening apparel by Bisou Bisou, custom made presidential handbags featuring President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama by The News L.A., complete hair care system by Elasta QP, Ole Henriksen Facial Cleanser, Green Apple Active Wear, Revitalash, Premium M&M’s, Sandals by Convertibles Footwer, an advanced copy of It's In My Blood by new author, Shawneda Marks, Sonja's Mama’s Chicken So Good chicken fry, Herbal Life products (including their new fragrance), hand-crafted bracelets by Nikki Michelle, Shirts by Wendell’s Design, hand made sachets from Marayah's Creations, Simplifast Detox beverages, DIVAS bejeweled running suits and DIVAS bejeweled tee shirts all in a customized large crystal-stoned DIVA duffle bag.
